A Dalit household is the primary to get the prasad (prayer providing) despatched by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after the ‘bhoomi pujan’ of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, an official mentioned in the present day.
The prasad included laddoos, a replica of the “Ramcharitmanas” and tulsi mala, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi informed information company PTI.
He mentioned the primary prasad was despatched to Mahaveer’s household in Ayodhya. Mahaveer, a mason who lives on the Suthati locality of Ayodhya, was visited by Yogi Adityanath through the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The Chief Minister had meals at his home and interacted along with his household.
Reacting to it, Mahaveer mentioned, “I am a Dalit. The CM sent the first prasad to me and my family. I am thankful to him that he remembered me.”
“It’s a double delight for us. Firstly, our dream of a Ram temple has been fulfilled. Secondly, we got the first prasad. We hope that now the caste discrimination in the state will end and everyone will think of development and welfare of all,” he mentioned.
When contacted, a senior Ayodhya official mentioned because of the COVID-19 protocol, only a few individuals had been invited for the ‘bhoomi pujan’.
“Now, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust and the administration are distributing ‘prasad‘ among the maximum number of people. In Ayodhya, the first ‘prasad‘ was sent to Mahaveer’s family on the directions of the Chief Minister,” the official mentioned.
He mentioned all these invited to the groundbreaking ceremony got a silver coin having footage of the Ram darbar and the belief’s brand.
