Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday stated the locations of spiritual worship throughout the state, which had been shut because the COVID-19 lockdown in March, will reopen from Monday. Thackeray stated this in a press release.
Extending greetings to folks on the event of Diwali, he stated, “We can’t forget that the demon coronavirus is still amongst us. Even though this demon is slowly falling silent now, we cannot be complacent. Citizens need to follow discipline.” “Just like discipline and restraint were observed while celebrating Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi,Navratri and Pandharpur wari (annual pilgrimage), followers of other faiths also celebrated festivals like Eid, Mount Mary festival by keeping the COVID-19 security protocol in thoughts,” he stated.
The chief minister stated that though locations of worship had to be shut through the pandemic, god was taking care of all devotees in the shape of medical doctors, nurses and different well being workers.
He stated that after the spiritual locations of worship are reopened from Diwali Padwa that falls on Monday, guidelines and security protocol have to be adopted strictly. “Crowding will have to avoided. The reopening of religious places is not a government order, but the wish of the Almighty. Shoes will have to kept outside the premises and wearing masks is mandatory,” he stated.
“If we follow discipline, we will get God’s blessings,” Thackeray stated. The chief minister was repeatedly being focused by the opposition BJP for protecting the locations of worship shut even because the Unlock course of started in June.
However, Thackeray had defended his choice saying it was tough to observe bodily distancing on the locations of worship. During his final webcast handle to residents, he had stated that customary working procedures (SOPs) had been being ready and the choice on reopening of these locations shall be taken after Diwali.
