Beijing-based ByteDance stated on Tuesday the top of its synthetic intelligence lab will go away the corporate, as its short-video app TikTok faces US scrutiny over safety and privateness points.
Ma Wei-Ying joined ByteDance from Microsoft to grow to be a vice chairman and head of the AI lab in 2017.
