Two sloth bears received electrocuted after they got here in touch with an iron wire, by which electrical energy was flowing, laid by poachers on the outskirts of a village in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district, a forest official stated on Wednesday.

Later, with the assistance of sniffer canines from Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, forest personnel raided some homes in Chhindauli and close by Beldih village and arrested 4 individuals on costs of poaching, he stated.
The accused had been recognized as Ramji Nishad (65), Nainsingh (38), each from Chhindauli, Devlal Chakradhari (30) and Jaiprakash, natives of Beldih, he stated.
A bundle of iron wire and different objects allegedly utilized by them in poaching had been recovered from their possession, he stated, including that additional investigation was underway.
