On her household’s criticism, the girl’s body was exhumed from the graveyard on the Kathua village and the post-mortem revealed that she was thrashed to loss of life
A 20-year-old Muslim lady from a village in Kathua of Jammu & Kashmir, who was visiting her brother-in-law’s place along with her husband at Paddi village of Ludhiana, was allegedly murdered10 days in the past after which her body was taken to J&Okay for burial.
On her household’s criticism, the body was exhumed from the graveyard on the Kathua village and the post-mortem revealed that she was thrashed to loss of life. The Ludhiana police has now registered an FIR towards her husband and two brothers-in-law for alleged murder.
The lady had delivered a child boy round twenty days in the past.
Qadar Hussain from Jagraon of Ludhiana in his criticism to Ludhiana police mentioned that his sister-in-law (spouse’s sister) Shanu (20) had married Mohammad Safeeq of Kathua in J&Okay almost two years in the past. She alongside along with her husband had been residing at Paddi village of Ludhiana on the place of Mohammad Farooq (Safeeq’s brother) village for two months. He advised the police that round 20 days in the past, Shanu gave beginning to a child boy and on November 10, Mohammad Farooq known as them to tell that Shanu has died after getting ‘unwell’. Further, the household obtained to know that after Shanu’s loss of life in Ludhiana, her husband and brother-in-law took her body to their village in Kathua and buried her.
Qadar Hussain alleged that days after supply, Shanu had known as them to inform that she was being ill-treated and compelled to do home chores regardless of her poor well being.
Inspector Sukhdev Singh, SHO of Dehlon police station, mentioned that after a criticism was obtained from the girl’s household, the Ludhiana police contacted their counterparts in J&Okay and the native Billawar police obtained the girl’s body exhumed. “Prima facie, the woman was murdered in Ludhiana and then her body was taken to Maadli Kog village in Kathua for burial. However, autopsy has revealed that there were grievous injury marks on her body and she was thrashed to death. We have registered an FIR against her husband and two brothers-in-law,” the SHO mentioned.
An FIR towards Mohammad Safeeq (lady’s husband), Mohammad Farooq (Safeeq’s elder brother) and Mohammad Zaqoor has been registered underneath sections 302 (murder) and 201 (inflicting disappearance of proof) of IPC.
