The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly posing as a private secretary of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and calling up the labour ministers of Haryana and Rajasthan to get himself employed, officers stated on Thursday.
The man, Sandeep Choudhary, is a resident of Teh Mundawar in Alwar district of Rajasthan, they stated.
Choudhary did his BA and BEd and was working with Hero Honda firm in Dharuhera, Haryana however after he misplaced his job amid the continued COVID-19 pandemic, he hatched a plan to get himself employed, police stated.
He was arrested after the Crime Branch registered a case primarily based on a criticism by the Union dwelling ministry, they stated.
According to the criticism, the person posing as the non-public secretary of Shah had referred to as up the labour ministers of Haryana and Rajasthan to get himself employed.
With the assistance of technical surveillance, the accused was later arrested by the Crime Branch from his hometown in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, police stated.
During interrogation, Chaudhary revealed that he was beforehand working with Hero Honda firm in Dharuhera however on account of COVID-19 he misplaced his job and is at present unemployed, a senior police officer stated.
To get himself employed in any of the factories in Rajasthan or Haryana, he hatched a plan and determined to name up the ministers of the involved states by posing as a private secretary of the Union dwelling minister, he stated.
To execute his plan, he first acquired a SIM card issued within the identify of his girlfriend. He then posed as the non-public secretary of Shah and referred to as up Haryana’s Labour Minister Anoop Dhanak and Rajasthan’s Labour Minister Tikaram Julie, the officer added.
The cell phone and the SIM card utilized in calling the involved ministers have been recovered from him, police stated.
