Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Tuesday mentioned he has created a duplicate of Ram temple on Puri seaside, on the eve of its ground-breaking ceremony in Ayodhya.
Mr Pattnaik mentioned, he was eager to create a sand sculpture of the temple at Ayodhya throughout ”bhoomi pujan”, however needed to do it on Puri seaside due to an outbreak of COVID-19.
“In fact, I visited Ayodhya last year and conducted a study for the purpose. However, I had to change my plans due to the pandemic,” he mentioned.
The artist mentioned, he has created a five-feet tall duplicate of the temple on the seaside for which he used about 4 tonnes of sand.
It took round 5 hours to create this sculpture.
“We are very happy that after a long wait, the temple is going to be constructed. It is a historic day for us,” mentioned Mr Pattnaik.
The August 5 ceremony will mark the start of the development of Ram temple after a decades-long title go well with over the location in Ayodhya was settled by Supreme Court final November.
Recipient of many awards, Mr Pattnaik has participated in additional than 60 worldwide sand artwork competitions internationally and gained numerous prizes for the nation.
