1. Illinois Institute of Technology

It received a perfect score of 100 under the ‘International Students’ indicator of the rankings. The university is located in Chicago’s fast-paced student district. It has almost 8,000 students. 2. University of Southern California
College Factual’s 2022 ranking for the best colleges in America ranked 33 spots.
If you choose to enroll at University of Southern California, you’ll be in good company. It was ranked #2 in our 2021 Best Colleges list for international students. The large, private, non-profit school is located in Los Angeles, California. It awarded 5,337 bachelor’s degree degrees in 2018-19.
23.9% of the students attending the school are international. Students at USC are from countries such as China, India, South Korea, and Brazil.
A 96% retention rate for freshman is an impressive statistic. This means that students love the school enough to return year after year. USC was also included in our overall quality ranking. It is ranked in the top 5% among all schools in this category.
3. Carnegie Mellon University
Ranking 24th in terms of the proportion of international students (58th overall).
Carnegie Mellon University, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has a 99.8 score for its international student ratio. It is home to 13,650 students from 114 countries and 58% of graduate students are from the US. Carnegie Mellon has satellite centers in Silicon Valley, Manhattan, and New York in the US. It also opened a campus in Australia in Adelaide, Australia, and has an undergraduate branch in Doha, Qatar.
4. Cornell University
Cornell University ranks #5 on our list, which means that Cornell University is an excellent place for international students who are pursuing their bachelor’s degrees. This large college of higher education is located in Ithaca, New York. In 2018-2019, 4,145 students received bachelor’s degrees from the private school.
International students make up 22.6%. Canada, India and China are the top three countries that send students to Cornell.
Students pursuing bachelor’s degrees will be able to have greater interaction with their professors because the school has a 9:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Cornell is ranked in the top 1% among all schools in our overall quality ranking.
5. University of Pennsylvania
The University of Pennsylvania ranked #6 in the Best Colleges for International Students Rankings. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, UPenn can be described as a private non-profit institution. It has a large student body and awarded 3,632 bachelor’s degree in 2018-2019.
International students make up around 20.6%. Many international students study at UPenn, including from China, India, South Korea, and other countries.
Students may be able to interact with professors more often than at other schools due to the impressive 6 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio. Quality is a strength at UPenn. On our overall quality ranking, it is ranked among the top 1% schools.
6. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Ranked 65th in terms of international student participation (1st overall).
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the world’s number one university according to the QS World University Rankings has a strong score for its diversity. It is also the highest-ranked US university on the indicator that measures the percentage of international faculty members. Around 3,289 out of the 11,331 students at MIT are from abroad, which includes 42% of the graduate students. In 2015-2016, 539 students from other countries were welcomed to the university as exchange, visiting, and special students. The university offers a high-quality education and is well-known for its generous financial aid and need-blind policy. This means that all students who are granted admission to the university will be adequately supported.
7. The New School
Ranked 67th overall for international student proportion (601-650 in total).
The New School is currently ranked second on the U.S. News & World Report 2014 list, with 32% of its international students and 116 countries represented. The New School is located in New York City’s Greenwich Village. It focuses mainly upon the arts, social sciences, and humanities. Former students include Marc Jacobs and Bradley Cooper.
8. Northeastern University
Ranking 70th in international student proportion (joint 361st overall).
Northeastern University is located in Boston, Massachusetts. It has 18,000 undergraduates. Of these, 3,400 are from abroad. Northeastern University prides itself in its global outlook. This is evident in the university’s cooperative education program, which combines classroom study with professional experience across seven continents. It also offers a comprehensive study abroad program. Northeastern opened its first international campus this year in Toronto, and also has campuses in other parts of the US, such as Silicon Valley.
9. Boston University
Boston University was ranked #7 on the 2021 Best Colleges list for international students. Boston University, a large private school that is not for profit located in Boston Massachusetts, awarded 4,780 bachelor’s degree programs in 2018-2019.
24.8% of the students are from outside the United States. China, India and South Korea are the top three countries that send students to Boston U.

10. Columbia University
Ranking 89th in terms of proportion of international students (21st overall).
Columbia University is one of the most prestigious universities in New York City with 32% of its 30300 students being from abroad.
